Shaji Kumar, MD, Professor of Hematological Malignancies, Mayo Clinic Cancer Center
Shaji Kumar, MD, is a Professor of Hematological Malignancies at the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center in Rochester, Minnesota, where he is also a Consultant in the Division of Hematology. In addition, he serves as Chair of the Plasma Cells Disorders Scientific Committee of the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Kumar specializes in the treatment of patients with hematologic malignancies, with particular expertise in amyloidosis and multiple myeloma. His research focuses on the development of novel therapeutic agents and combinations for these diseases. Dr. Kumar serves as Associate Editor of the American Journal of Hematology and on the Editorial Advisory Board of several journals, including Lancet Hematology. He was the recipient of the 2021 Brian Durie Outstanding Achievement Award from the International Myeloma Working Group.
